Work Experience
Work Experience is a valuable part of the curriculum and here at St Clere's we are very fortunate to have the opportunity to have time set aside for us in the yearly calendar.
In order for our students to stand out, we need to make them ‘work ready’ and ‘employable’ – equipped with the skills that an employer is looking for, not just academic skills.
Skills such as:
- Problem solving
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Time management)
- Professionalism
- Working maturity
- Willingness to learn and be guided by others
- Enthusiasm for the tasks provided
We will work with the help from parents and carers to actively support their children in securing a placement.
At St Clere's we work with Speakers for Schools to run our work experience programme. Please explore the link below for opportunities both face to face and virtual that will help you to secure a work placement with a leading company.
Work experience placement feedback:
I cannot emphasise enough what an impression Leo has made on not just me, but my colleagues within the Cabinet Office and wider Civil Service. Leo was an absolute delight to have in the Cabinet Office working within our small team, we all feel that you and Leo should know what a credit he is to your school.
