This course gives students a wider understanding of the beliefs, cultural diversity, ethical issues and moral values of others. It also deals with current day-to-day issues that students might see or hear about, but may not essentially understand.

Students will learn to:

  • Ask questions relating to controversial issues
  • Observe and record information
  • Express views about people, places and environments
  • Communicate in different ways
  • Apply religious teachings to learning
  • Use interpretation skills
  • Learn about the beliefs of others
  • Learn from the beliefs and teaching of different religions
  • Study varied religious texts
  • Discuss, debate and consider varied topics
