Religious Studies, Ethics and Philosophy

This course gives students a wider understanding of the beliefs, cultural diversity, ethical issues and moral values of others. It also deals with current day-to-day issues that students might see or hear about, but may not essentially understand.
Students will learn to:
- Ask questions relating to controversial issues
- Observe and record information
- Express views about people, places and environments
- Communicate in different ways
- Apply religious teachings to learning
- Use interpretation skills
- Learn about the beliefs of others
- Learn from the beliefs and teaching of different religions
- Study varied religious texts
- Discuss, debate and consider varied topics
